Rollergirls Wrap Up Home Schedule With Doubleheader Sweep




The two teams of the Cincinnati Rollergirls took both bouts from the two teams of the Ohio Rollergirls on Saturday night at Cincinnati Gardens.  Cincinnati's ‘B' team, the Silent Lambs won the opener over the Ohio Rollergirls Gang Green 84-49.  In the second bout, Cincinnati's ‘A' team, the Black Sheep rolled over the Ohio Rollergirl all-stars 100-45.

The Silent Lambs got a balanced scoring attack from a trio of jammers, as Cherry Choke and Jungle Lacy tallied 22 jam points while Polly Rocket added 21.  Miss Print collected 10 jam points and Glamour Azz had 9 points to round out the Silent Lambs scoring.  With the win, the Silent Lambs improved to 4-2 on the season.


In the main event, the Black Sheep - currently ranked 4th in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association's North Central region - knocked off Ohio's all-stars, ranked 13th in the region.  The Black Sheep also got a balanced scoring attack from a trio of skaters, as Hannah Barbaric and rookie K. Lethal collected 28 jam points, while Sadistic Sadie led all scorers with 31 points.  Dr. McDerby finished with 9 jam points and Candy kickA$$ added 4 points.  The Black Sheep improve to 5-1 on the season, while Columbus drops to 3-3.


The Cincinnati Rollergirls will now kick off an ambitious travel season next weekend, with an event in Philadelphia featuring more than 80 roller derby leagues.  Cincinnati will play against the Windy City Rollergirls and the Atlanta Rollergirls in the East Coast Derby Extravaganza. The road schedule will also include Cincinnati's first bout on a banked track as well as the first trip outside the U.S. border.  Here is the complete schedule:
